Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer is also a writer. She is known best for her role in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also was the director, producer and star in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her younger sister and is an artist. The father of her is Jewish and her mother educated Southern Baptist Benson grew up at the Reform synagogue located in Alabama. Benson appeared on Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's ending. While behind the lens Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010, she also directed Drones. After spending the time to find and identify them, Buffy states that there is at most 1800 Slayers in the world, 500 of whom are involved with members of the Scooby Gang. Slayers can be active after their abilities are mature enough. Soledad for example became an Slayer at age sixteen. Ruth Connell to play Rowena in Season 10 of Supernatural.
