Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 in Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts who reside in Atlanta. In the early years of his life his father became obsessed by theater. While he was a student studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he participated in several productions. He joined the air force in 1953. While being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the Air force. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife quit the military in, when they enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter was employed to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to assist on the stage of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the local Saturday morning children's show on television called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they self-funded. Later that year they founded the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for a period of six years. They were blessed with two additional youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
