Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor was born on April 16 1996 at Miami Florida. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a former executive in the banking industry and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is half-Spanish, and an English-speaking woman. Her father, an native Argentine of Scottish and English origin is also her mother. Her mother comes from Spanish as well as English roots. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. They lived in Buenos Aires until she was 6 years old. They then relocated to Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy said moving was traumatic and she refused to learn English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's shows. When she was 16 she decided to leave school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy knew from the beginning that she wanted to be an actress. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her modeling work.
