The story was inspired by an historical figure called Spartacus a Thracian gladiator who led a major rebellion of slaves to overthrow the Roman Republic. The show airs across the globe and has helped make her an internationally known figure. The details of her personal life are that she's married to Antonio Beliveau, a musician.
